Jurgen Klopp remains optimistic despite Liverpool’s Europa League exit.
Liverpool’s journey in the Europa League quarterfinals came to an end as they fell short against Atalanta, losing 3-1 on aggregate.
“Disappointed that we did not go through but not frustrated or angry. Now we can focus on the league and that’s what we will do,” Klopp said.
“We have a few days to recover and then we play Fulham, which will be tricky but we will give our absolute all. That’s our competition now.”
Third-placed Liverpool are level with Arsenal on 71 points but trail on goal difference. Leaders Manchester City have 73 points.

Despite Mohamed Salah’s early penalty in the return leg providing a glimmer of hope, Juergen Klopp’s side couldn’t mount a comeback.
However, Klopp sees a silver lining, suggesting that their exit could allow the team to channel all their energy into their Premier League title pursuit.
The defeat marks another setback for Liverpool, dampening hopes of a fairy-tale finish to Klopp’s tenure. Despite questions about Salah’s recent form, Klopp remains unfazed, expressing confidence in his star forward.
“The penalty was super-convincing, a super penalty; then the next chance, that was obviously unlucky but it is not the first time he missed a chance like that.
“I am not particularly concerned. That’s what strikers do, that’s what happens to strikers, it’s how it is.”
Although Liverpool displayed resilience in the return leg, Atalanta’s solid defense thwarted any hopes of a miraculous turnaround.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side now progresses to the semifinals, while Klopp’s Liverpool refocuses its efforts on securing domestic success.
