Kadyn Proctor, Alabama’s standout left tackle, is expected to make his season debut this Saturday against Wisconsin, as reported by 247Sports.
The sophomore lineman, who played in every game for Alabama last year, has been recovering from a shoulder injury sustained during fall camp. Although he warmed up before last weekend’s game against South Florida, Proctor did not take the field.
Head coach Kalen DeBoer spoke earlier in the week about Proctor’s steady progress in practice, hinting at his readiness to return. Alabama’s offensive line struggled against South Florida, allowing frequent pressure on quarterback Jalen Milroe and suffering from multiple holding penalties. Proctor’s return is highly anticipated as the Tide look to stabilize their offense.
Proctor, who stands at six-foot-seven and weighs 360 pounds, was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team last season.
This offseason saw him briefly transfer to Iowa following Nick Saban’s retirement before he re-entered the transfer portal and returned to Alabama. After reclaiming his starting role, Proctor’s presence will be vital as Alabama heads into a crucial matchup against Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Central Time.
