Freshman Ryan Williams, a former five-star recruit, continues to impress at Alabama, contributing significantly to the Crimson Tide’s 42-10 victory over Wisconsin.
His performance included a 31-yard touchdown from quarterback Jalen Milroe, marking Williams’ fourth touchdown of the season. At just 17 years old, Williams is showcasing maturity and talent that stands out in college football. Known for his big-play ability and charismatic celebrations, he’s gaining attention and is a strong contender for SEC Freshman of the Year honors.
Alabama’s head coach, Kalen DeBoer, spoke highly of Williams, not just for his on-field talent but also for his demeanor off the field.
“What impresses me most about him is his business-like approach to football, while still maintaining a fun and engaging personality,” DeBoer remarked.
He praised Williams’ ability to stay focused yet relaxed, a balance that’s rare in someone so young. While DeBoer acknowledges that Williams will face adversity, he has full confidence in his player’s ability to navigate challenges.
“He’s a joy to be around and is truly committed to becoming the best version of himself,” DeBoer added.
