Leeds United is actively seeking to bolster their defensive lineup, showing interest in AC Milan defender Fode Ballo-Toure.

The Whites, who recently acquired Glen Kamara and Archie Gray, remain focused on strengthening their squad after narrowly missing out on promotion last season.

Joe Rodon has been brought in to partner Ethan Empadu at the defense’s core, but concerns linger regarding the wide defensive positions.

Ballo-Toure, 27, is currently training solo following a dispute with AC Milan’s management. His versatility, being capable of playing both as a full-back and a center-back, adds to his appeal. Last season, he was loaned to Fulham in the Premier League, where he made eight appearances.

Purchased from AS Monaco in 2021 for €5.4 million, the Senegal international’s contract with Milan runs until June 2025. However, he has struggled for game time, competing with captain Theo Hernandez.

With interest also coming from Besiktas and Watford, Leeds could provide Ballo-Toure the fresh start he seeks. This potential move aligns with Leeds’ ongoing efforts to reinforce their defense as they aim for promotion in the upcoming season.
