Leeds United is making a last-minute effort to secure a loan deal for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, despite Sheffield United being in the lead to sign the promising young talent.
With just over a day before Leeds’ opening game of the Championship season, manager Daniel Farke is actively working to strengthen his squad, particularly after Crysencio Summerville’s departure left a gap on the wing that needs to be filled by a high-quality player.
Reports indicate that Sheffield United has made significant progress in negotiations with Crystal Palace, agreeing on a deal that includes a recall clause and a £1 million fee. However, Leeds, along with Hull City, are still contenders, having also reached an agreement on the loan terms with the Premier League club. Although Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United remains the frontrunner, Rak-Sakyi has not yet decided where he will play in the 2024/25 season.
Securing Rak-Sakyi would be a significant boost for Leeds, providing much-needed depth and a natural right-winger to their attacking lineup.
