Leeds United are on the verge of securing their fourth signing of the summer transfer window, with a £5 million deal for Sheffield United defender Jayden Bogle reportedly imminent.

The 23-year-old right-back has been a target for Leeds throughout the summer. Initially, negotiations hit a snag as the Blades valued Bogle at £7 million, while Leeds’ initial offers fell short. However, it seems the clubs have now settled on a £5 million fee, with Bogle expected to undergo a medical at Leeds’ training facility, Thorp Arch.

Bogle’s signing comes as a significant boost for Leeds, who have been seeking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. The right-back position, in particular, has been a concern following the departures of Luke Ayling and Connor Roberts, and the sale of Archie Gray to Tottenham. Bogle, who played almost the entire last season for Sheffield United, barring a suspension, brings valuable Premier League experience. He scored three goals last season, including strikes against top teams like Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

Bogle, who started his career at Derby County and rose through their youth ranks, will join the likes of Joe Rodon, Alex Cairns, and Joe Rothwell as Leeds’ new additions this summer.

If his medical goes smoothly, Bogle could join Leeds on their pre-season tour of Germany, providing manager Daniel Farke with more options in a crucial position as the team gears up for the Championship season.
