Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, and his wife, Brittany, have announced that they are expecting their third child.
The couple shared this joyful news through an endearing family video posted on social media, featuring their two children, Sterling Skye and Patrick Mahomes III.
Patrick and Brittany, who have been together since their high school days, have experienced many milestones together, from Mahomes’ standout college career at Texas Tech to his rise to NFL stardom with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Drafted in the first round in 2017, Mahomes has led his team to three Super Bowl victories, solidifying his reputation as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.
The Mahomes family has grown alongside Patrick’s burgeoning career. In March 2022, Patrick and Brittany tied the knot, following the birth of their daughter, Sterling Skye. Eight months later, they welcomed their son, Patrick Mahomes III. Now, with their third child on the way, Brittany excitedly announced on Instagram:
“Round three, here we come.”
During the football offseason, Patrick and Brittany have been enjoying some well-deserved family time. They have been spotted attending Wimbledon, traveling in Europe, and even joining Patrick’s Chiefs teammate, Travis Kelce, for a segment of his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” in Amsterdam.
Patrick’s achievements continue to grow; he recently received the ESPYS “Best NFL Player” and “Best Male Athlete” awards. His head coach, Andy Reid, accepted the accolades on his behalf, praising Mahomes not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his growth as a father and husband.
As the Chiefs prepare for the upcoming season, Mahomes remains focused on achieving a rare Super Bowl three-peat. Reflecting on the challenge, he said:
“It’s legendary – no one has ever done it. Only eight teams have done it back-to-back. We felt like we had the best opportunity we’ve ever had. All you can do is come back next year with the best mindset and try to do it again.”
The Mahomes family continues to thrive both on and off the field, eagerly anticipating the arrival of their newest member.
