Majority of Manchester United fans wants Erik Ten Hag to stay next season as seen from the result of the latest polls.

A new poll reveals that most Manchester United fans support retaining Erik ten Hag as manager, despite uncertainty surrounding his future.

The Dutch manager led the team to an FA Cup victory over Manchester City, securing a Europa League spot for next season. However, his position remains in doubt after a challenging Premier League campaign that saw United finish eighth.

The speculation about Ten Hag’s potential sacking intensified before the FA Cup final, with reports suggesting he might be dismissed regardless of the outcome.

Nonetheless, a poll conducted by the Manchester Evening News indicates strong fan support for Ten Hag, with 78% of 10,000 respondents expressing their desire for him to stay.

This sentiment marks a significant shift from earlier in the month when only 39% of fans supported Ten Hag following a 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

The managerial review at United is being led by co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co-chairman Joel Glazer, with input from Sir Dave Brailsford, director of sport at Ineos, and newly appointed technical director Jason Wilcox.

As part of their contingency planning, Manchester United representatives have reportedly contacted the camps of several potential replacements, including Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel, Kieran McKenna, and Thomas Frank.

Despite the ongoing review and speculation, the poll results demonstrate a clear backing from the fanbase for Ten Hag, reflecting their belief in his capability to guide the team forward.
