Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has solidified himself as one of the best basketball players in recent years.

His consistency is evident as he has been selected for the All-NBA First Team five consecutive times, with a strong possibility of extending this streak.

Stephen Curry, renowned for his offensive prowess, has praised Doncic, often referring to the unstoppable “Luka Magic,” highlighting his unique blend of scoring and playmaking.

Doncic’s performance continues to improve. Last season, he achieved career highs with averages of 33.9 points, 9.8 assists, and 4.1 three-pointers per game. Pairing him with an elite shooter like Klay Thompson could elevate his game further in the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Dillon Brooks, a notable defender from the Houston Rockets, has acknowledged Doncic’s talent. When asked about the toughest players to guard, Brooks mentioned Doncic first.

Their rivalry is intense, with Doncic having a 7-1 advantage over Brooks and averaging 29.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.9 assists in their matchups. In their recent encounters, Doncic even averaged 41.7 points per game against Brooks.

Their rivalry was notably heated during the 2023 FIBA World Cup, where both were ejected during a quarterfinal game. Despite this, Doncic respects Brooks’ defensive skills, even if Brooks is often disliked by others.

Interestingly, the Mavericks had shown interest in acquiring Brooks in the last offseason, but he chose to join another Texas team instead.
