Maxx Crosby addressed speculation on Sunday following a viral video showing him shoving Las Vegas Raiders linebackers coach Mike Caldwell during a game.

The incident took place as the Raiders suffered a 32-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Allegiant Stadium, marking the team’s third defeat in their last four games.

During the closing moments of the game, cameras caught Crosby pushing Caldwell while returning to the sideline, seemingly surprising the coach. Without context, the shove fueled speculation online, with many suggesting it was a sign of Crosby’s frustration amid the Raiders’ struggles this season.

In response, Crosby took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to set the record straight.

“Mike Caldwell is my guy,” Crosby tweeted. “One of the best people in the business. That’s a love push, stop reaching.”

Speaking with reporters post-game, the three-time Pro Bowl defensive end further clarified the situation, explaining that Caldwell had been hyping him up, and the push was his way of reciprocating that energy. He also attributed the controversy to the misleading camera angle, which made the interaction appear more heated than it was.

With the Raiders already surrounded by trade rumors involving star wide receiver Davante Adams, Crosby’s sideline conduct has drawn increased scrutiny.

This incident follows criticism directed at the 27-year-old after missing the previous week’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
