Las Vegas Raiders‘ standout pass-rusher Maxx Crosby is determined to make the upcoming season his best yet.

Crosby is coming off his most impressive season to date, achieving career highs with 90 tackles and 14.5 sacks, alongside forcing two fumbles. Despite these achievements, Crosby revealed that he wasn’t even fully healthy last season, having undergone surgeries on his knee and thumb in January.

Reflecting on his challenging offseason, Crosby stated, “It’s been a hell of a ride back,” indicating his relentless pursuit of peak performance. He disclosed that his previous season’s practices were heavily restricted due to his injuries. Nonetheless, he didn’t miss any games, showcasing his resilience and durability by playing every game for the fifth consecutive year.

Crosby’s dedication to improvement is evident in his approach to training. He emphasizes consistency and leaves no stone unturned in his quest to be the best.

“My one goal is to be the best in the world, pound for pound,” he said. “I’m exhausting every single resource I possibly have to have the best season of my career.”

The three-time Pro Bowler’s rigorous personal offseason program, which involves training every day without taking breaks, has been crucial in maintaining his top form.”You talk about fight camps [lasting] maybe three months, four months; I do it 365 [days],” Crosby noted, attributing his success to his unwavering commitment and preparation.

Despite Crosby’s stellar individual performance, the Raiders have struggled collectively, recording a 39-44 record with only one playoff appearance since 2019. However, Crosby remains a key asset, being one of just two players from the Oakland era still with the team, underscoring his impact and value to the franchise.

As Crosby enters the 2024 season, the Raiders and their fans will be hopeful that his tireless efforts and return to full health will translate into a standout season, not only for him but for the team as a whole.
