Rangers goalkeeper Robby McCrorie has agreed on personal terms with Kilmarnock, according to sources at Football Insider.

The 26-year-old is expected to finalize his move to the Ayrshire club within the next 24 hours, allowing him to begin pre-season preparations with his new team.

McCrorie, who has one year remaining on his current deal with Rangers, has turned down multiple offers from the club to extend his contract. The goalkeeper is seeking regular first-team football, a prospect that led him to decline Rangers’ proposals and opt for a move where he can be the first-choice keeper.

Sources indicate that McCrorie is keen on securing a starting role, a key factor in his decision to leave Rangers. He has agreed to a two-year contract with Kilmarnock, committing his immediate future to the club.

Despite being with Rangers since his youth career started in 2013, McCrorie has only made seven first-team appearances for the Glasgow club. His experience, however, is not lacking, as he has completed five loan spells between 2017 and 2021, gaining significant game time. Over his career, McCrorie has amassed 114 appearances across various leagues, including 24 in the Scottish Premiership.

Last season, McCrorie made just one appearance in the Scottish FA Cup, prompting his decision to seek more consistent playing opportunities. His move to Kilmarnock represents a chance to secure regular first-team action.

Additionally, McCrorie’s departure might not be the only one from Ibrox. There are ongoing speculations regarding Scott Wright’s future, with Sheffield Wednesday reportedly offering a contract to the winger, who also has one year left on his deal with Rangers.
