The Athletic reported that the Mets have discussed acquiring Chicago White Sox right-hander John Brebbia, while Joel Sherman of the New York Post linked the team to left-handers Tanner Banks of the White Sox and Tanner Scott of the Marlins.
John Brebbia, 34, boasts an impressive 30% strikeout rate and a solid 6.6% walk rate, making him a valuable addition to any bullpen. Despite his 5.71 ERA, advanced metrics suggest that a subpar White Sox defense has negatively impacted his performance.
