As the 2025 coaching carousel begins to take shape, Mike Vrabel, former Titans head coach, is being linked to multiple teams, with the Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints showing significant interest.
Vrabel, who remains highly regarded despite not securing a job last year, is expected to be a strong candidate this offseason, particularly if the Raiders decide to part ways with Antonio Pierce after just one season. Should this happen, Vrabel could be seen as the frontrunner for the position, especially considering his past connection with Tom Brady.
Brady, who recently became a minority owner of the Raiders, is expected to have significant influence in the team’s decisions, including the choice of head coach. His eight-year history with Vrabel in New England could be a key factor in making this connection happen.
Vrabel, who just completed a consulting role with the Cleveland Browns, is now free to pursue head coaching opportunities, as his contract with the team has expired. While the Raiders have not yet made a move, other teams, including the Saints, are already preparing for coaching changes.
The Saints, having recently fired Dennis Allen, are expected to consider Vrabel as a potential head coach, with general manager Mickey Loomis casting a wide net to find a suitable successor to Sean Payton. Although interim coach Darren Rizzi is popular, Vrabel could offer the fresh leadership the team needs.
