Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe confirmed he will play in the team’s upcoming bowl game against the Michigan Wolverines.

Despite Alabama narrowly missing the College Football Playoff, Milroe, a 2023 Heisman finalist, is committed to finishing the season strong. In a statement to The Next Round, Milroe made his intentions clear:

“The mission right now is to complete the season. We have one more mission ahead, which is attacking Michigan.”

Under new head coach Kalen DeBoer, Alabama finished the regular season 9-3. Although the Crimson Tide were in contention for a playoff spot, the selection committee ultimately chose SMU for the final berth.

This left many Alabama starters with the option to sit out the bowl game, a trend in modern college football. However, Milroe remains dedicated, aiming to add one last chapter to his Alabama legacy before heading to the NFL.

Milroe stands just 203 passing yards away from overtaking Mac Jones for sixth place on Alabama’s all-time passing list. A strong performance could also elevate him to fifth in career passing touchdowns.

Already the leader in career rushing touchdowns among Alabama quarterbacks, Milroe views the bowl game as a chance to cement his place in Crimson Tide history with a victory.
