Everton’s takeover was sidelined during the summer as the club focused on transfers. Many thought Dan Friedkin was already investing in the club due to Kevin Thelwell’s spending spree.

However, it was later revealed that Friedkin had withdrawn from the takeover, leaving Everton to rely on its resources.

This development surprised many, both inside and outside the club. Now, there is hope for a new investor. Kevin Malone, ex-general manager of the Dodgers, has made an official statement expressing his interest in potentially investing in Everton.

He said: “All I can say at this time, is that our investor group is seriously evaluating the Everton opportunity.”

Friedkin’s exit left Everton in need of new ownership to address their financial challenges. Malone’s renewed interest could trigger a fresh bidding war, as Everton seeks someone capable of resolving their debt issues and securing the club’s future.
