Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers are in a tight race to sign Scotland international Che Adams, who is currently a free agent.

Both clubs, having avoided relegation, aim to bolster their squads ahead of the new Premier League season.

Nuno Espirito Santo, the manager of Nottingham Forest, is keen to add more attacking options to his team. With Chris Wood aging and Taiwo Awoniyi struggling with injuries, Adams’ versatility and goal-scoring ability could prove valuable. The 27-year-old forward, who left Southampton after scoring 17 goals and providing six assists last season, is now on the lookout for a new club.

Forest’s interest in Adams is shared by Wolves, intensifying the competition for his signature. Adams participated in Euro 2024 with Scotland, showcasing his skills on the international stage. Despite some fans viewing his potential signing as underwhelming, his proven track record and ability to play multiple positions make him a strong candidate to strengthen Forest’s attack.

While Adams might not demand a high salary, his addition could significantly enhance Forest’s offensive capabilities compared to last season’s options.

With Wolves also in the fray, Forest will need to leverage their persuasive powers to secure the forward’s services and ensure a more robust squad for the upcoming season.
