Nottingham Forest is dealing with a wave of injuries ahead of their critical Premier League match against Liverpool at Anfield.
With Liverpool yet to concede a goal under their new manager, Arne Slot, Forest’s task seems daunting. Adding to the challenge, several key players may be unavailable for the fixture.
Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo provided an update on his squad’s fitness issues, revealing that Willy Boly, who was recently sent back from international duty with Ivory Coast for treatment, is struggling with a calf injury. He also mentioned that two other players, Ibrahim Sangare and Chris Wood, are rated doubtful for the game.
Sangare, in particular, would be a significant loss for Forest. Known for his tenacity, Sangare has made more tackles than any other Premier League player this season.
Nuno said, “We have a doubt with Sangare and Boly, and we know Danilo is out. We are assessing all of them. We have to wait a little bit to be 100 percent sure.”
Wood’s situation is different, as the manager is concerned about fatigue after the striker’s long trip to the United States to play for New Zealand.
