Cole Palmer was taken aback by Tim Sherwood’s assertion that Chelsea will need “several transfer windows” to assemble a squad matching his caliber.

The ex-Manchester City player played a crucial role as Chelsea defeated Newcastle 3-2, with his long-range shot converted by Nicolas Jackson and adding a goal himself.

With 15 goals and 11 assists this season, Palmer stands out as Chelsea’s most reliable contributor to scoring.

Sherwood, speaking post-match, implied that it will be a gradual process for Chelsea to acquire players of Palmer’s talent, conveying this sentiment to the England international.

Tim sherwood’s statement left Palmer speechless.

“All you need is some players to play with. I know you can’t say that but I’m saying it. I just think you need more quality around you.

“For me, he [Pochettino] needs to build the team around you and the quality that you have. But that will come with a few transfer windows hopefully once he gets the right players in.”

During Sherwood’s analysis, Palmer maintained a silent demeanor, wearing a perplexed expression. Eventually, he countered by expressing optimism about Chelsea’s potential.

The 21-year-old emphasized the team’s collective quality beyond himself, highlighting the depth of talent. He hoped for improved cohesion among the players moving forward.

Cole Palmer’s response after Tim Sherwood’s Brutal opinion.

“There’s a lot of quality there, not just me. We’ve got loads of other players so hopefully the team can gel a bit more than everyone has seen.”

After their victory over Newcastle, Chelsea currently occupies the 11th position in the Premier League standings, possibly trailing by only four points for European qualification with a game in hand. Additionally, winning the FA Cup could secure a European berth for the Blues.
