The Philadelphia Eagles, currently at 8-2, are preparing to face the Los Angeles Rams (5-5) on Sunday night.

As the Eagles edge closer to clinching the NFC East title, they’ll be without two key players, adding hurdles to their Week 12 matchup.

Defensive end Bryce Huff, who has been battling a wrist injury since their narrow 28-23 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 3, has been placed on injured reserve. According to the Eagles’ website, Huff underwent a wrist procedure on Thursday, sidelining him for at least four games.

Head coach Nick Sirianni commented:

“He’s really done a good job of battling through, but this will hopefully help him get some more function in that hand.”

Huff has been a steady contributor this season with 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and five starts over 10 games.

Adding to the Eagles’ woes, star wide receiver DeVonta Smith will miss Sunday’s game due to a lingering hamstring issue.

The injury, which has troubled Smith for weeks, was confirmed via the team’s Friday injury report. Smith has been an essential asset this season with 41 receptions for 516 yards and four touchdowns, making him the team’s second-leading receiver.

The Eagles will need to adjust as they aim to maintain their dominance in the NFC East amidst these setbacks.
