The Philadelphia Phillies are reportedly exploring the trade market for All-Star third baseman Alec Bohm, as tensions between the player and the organization have grown.

With Bohm’s arbitration eligibility and a crowded roster, the Phillies are keen on leveraging his value to address key needs.

One potential trade partner is the Milwaukee Brewers, who may consider swapping All-Star closer Devin Williams for Bohm. Williams, despite recent injuries, remains a reliable bullpen asset. While this trade could resolve the Phillies’ closer vacancy, some argue that free agency might offer less costly alternatives.

The Seattle Mariners also emerge as a viable trade partner, given their need for a stable third baseman and the Phillies’ interest in bolstering their starting rotation. A Bohm-for-Logan Gilbert trade has been floated, with Gilbert’s durability and performance making him an attractive option.

The Chicago White Sox, focused on rebuilding, may also be in play. A potential trade for 25-year-old left-hander Garrett Crochet, coming off a breakout season, could cost the Phillies not only Bohm but additional prospects.

As the Winter Meetings approach, the Phillies must determine if these trades align with their plans for 2025 and beyond, balancing immediate roster needs with long-term potential.
