Rafael Nadal resumed training at Roland Garros on Friday after an injury scare cast doubt on his participation in the Paris Olympics.

The 14-time French Open champion practiced with Carlos Alcaraz, with whom he is set to compete in the men’s doubles first round on Saturday. Nadal, 38, was seen with a bandage on his right leg after sustaining a thigh injury on Wednesday, causing him to miss training on Thursday.

His coach, Carlos Moya, mentioned that Nadal was striving to regain fitness. Moya advised not to push Nadal too hard initially, allowing time for recovery. Nadal and Alcaraz, the reigning French Open and Wimbledon champion, will face Argentina’s Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni in their opening doubles match.

Additionally, Nadal is slated to play Hungarian Marton Fucsovics in the singles on Sunday, with a potential second-round clash against Novak Djokovic on the horizon.
