Paris Saint-Germain’s efforts to acquire Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville have stalled, with competition from other Premier League clubs intensifying.
Summerville, who has drawn attention with his 21 goals and 10 assists in 49 matches for Leeds, has been a prime target for PSG. Alongside him, PSG is also eyeing wingers like Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Athletic Club’s Nico Williams.
ESPN NL recently reported that both PSG and Liverpool are frontrunners in the race for Summerville, with Liverpool’s new coach, Arne Solt, already in contact with the player. However, Leeds United Live has indicated that negotiations between PSG and Summerville have reached an impasse.
While PSG’s pursuit is on hold, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, and Aston Villa are ready to make their moves for the talented 22-year-old.
Journalist Ben Jacobs, speaking to Give Me Sport, noted that although PSG has not made a formal bid, their interest remains strong. Jacobs also highlighted Summerville’s respect and appreciation for Leeds, emphasizing his reluctance to force an exit.
Fabrizio Romano, a noted transfer expert, mentioned that acquiring Summerville could cost between £35 million and £40 million, making it a substantial investment for interested clubs. As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether PSG can reignite their pursuit or if another club will secure the promising Dutch winger.
