With a disappointing 4-12 record and only one game left in the 2024 regular season, the Las Vegas Raiders have faced a tumultuous year.

Head coach Antonio Pierce shared his perspective on the team’s struggles, emphasizing the role of luck in determining a season’s success.

“You always want luck,” Pierce stated during a recent media interaction. “You always want the ball to bounce your way. We just wasn’t lucky enough this year.”

Pierce’s tenure has been under scrutiny for much of the season, with fans expressing dissatisfaction and calling for change.

The coach’s focus on short-term victories rather than long-term team-building has also drawn criticism. When asked about the future of the Raiders, Pierce expressed a singular goal:

“I just want to win games now.”

This mindset has arguably contributed to setbacks for the team. After holding the top pick in the NFL draft just weeks ago, the Raiders have dropped to the eighth spot. This shift could hinder their chances of drafting coveted quarterbacks like Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward, expected to be selected within the first five picks.

With fans and analysts divided, the Raiders’ future under Pierce remains uncertain.
