Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been the subject of recent trade rumors, but his agents have firmly dismissed these speculations.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, agents Kenny Chapman and Frank Bauer released a statement on Tuesday, calling the rumors “baseless” and asserting that there has been “no trade talk” regarding Adams.

They emphasized that Adams is expected to remain with the Raiders, stating:

“This is baseless, unfounded speculation and Davante is expected to be with the Raiders as there has been absolutely no trade talk – period.”

The rumors gained traction after New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who played with Adams for eight seasons on the Green Bay Packers, expressed his desire to reunite with the star receiver.

Despite Rodgers’ comments and attempts by former Raiders running back Josh Jacobs to lure Adams back to Green Bay, Adams has reiterated his commitment to the Raiders. Speaking on FanDuel’s “Up and Adams,” Adams acknowledged Rodgers’ interest but emphasized his loyalty to the Raiders, stating:

“I’m a Raider, and he knows that.”

Adams’ impressive track record makes him a highly coveted player. Leading active players in touchdown catches with 95, Adams is entering the third year of a five-year, $140 million contract with the Raiders. Given his substantial contract, acquiring Adams would be challenging for many teams due to salary cap constraints and the high trade value the Raiders would likely demand.

Although Adams appears committed to staying in Las Vegas, there remains a possibility that his stance could change if the Raiders struggle early in the season.

Currently, quarterbacks Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew II are vying for the starting position, and it remains uncertain if they can significantly improve a passing offense that ranked 23rd in the league last season with an average of 198.8 yards per game.

As the season progresses, the situation may evolve, but for now, Adams’ agents have unequivocally shut down any trade rumors, affirming his place with the Raiders.
