The Atlanta Braves have caught fire, winning five of their last six games, including a 4-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Thursday night at Truist Park.
After a rough patch where they lost six of seven games following the All-Star break, the Braves have bounced back in a big way. They wasted no time getting on the board against Marlins’ starter Max Meyer, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding another in the third.
Austin Riley sparked the offense with a solo home run in the first, setting the tone for the evening. Matt Olson followed suit with a two-run homer after Marcell Ozuna’s single, further extending the lead. Olson has been on a tear, hitting five home runs and driving in six runs over the last six games.
Orlando Arcia also contributed with a solo shot, extending his hitting streak to 12 games. Charlie Morton delivered a strong performance on the mound, giving up just one unearned run over six innings while striking out six. The Braves have outscored their opponents 31-14 in this six-game stretch, with 15 home runs highlighting their offensive surge.
