Manchester City have lost three matches this season without Rodri in the squad.

Manchester City’s dependency on midfielder Rodri has been extensively chronicled over the past two years.

Notably, he hasn’t been on the losing side for over 12 months, dating back to February 5, 2023, when his team suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham.

His influence extends beyond club matches, as he maintains an unbeaten streak with the Spanish national team.

During this period, Rodri has played a pivotal role in City’s triumphs, including securing the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup titles, with the club aiming to replicate a historic treble once again.

Despite facing fierce competition from Arsenal and Liverpool this season, Rodri continues to underline his significance to Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Statistically, Rodri’s absence from City’s lineup has resulted in three losses this season, emphasizing his instrumental contribution.

In the 29 matches where he featured, City emerged victorious in 21 encounters and settled for draws in seven, solidifying his impact on the team’s performance.

Leading the league’s points-per-match metric with an impressive 2.5, Rodri’s disciplinary record has been scrutinized.

Rodri escapes suspension scare as title hunt intensifies.

Despite accumulating eight yellow cards in the Premier League, he has skillfully avoided suspension ahead of the crucial matchday 32 cutoff point, alleviating concerns about his absence in the title race.

However, despite the relief of potential suspension, Rodri’s admission of fatigue raises doubts about his availability for the upcoming clash against Luton.

” I do need rest”, Rodri admits fatigue.

“I do need a rest,” he admitted after the draw with Real Madrid on Tuesday. “I do need a rest.

“Let’s see how we speak, how we live the situation. Sometimes it is what it is. I need to adjust. [Rest] is something we are planning, yeah. Every one of us can do better, even myself. But we need to rest to be honest.”
