Tansfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shed light on the growing interest in Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, expressing interest.

However, Chelsea’s lack of Champions League football next season presents a significant hurdle.

Kvaratskhelia has impressed during his tenure at Napoli, making him a sought-after target this summer. His father and agent have publicly expressed a desire for him to leave the club, stirring interest from major European teams.

Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are among the clubs eyeing the 23-year-old Georgian international, according to Romano’s latest update.

Despite Kvaratskhelia’s eagerness to move, Napoli is reluctant to let him go easily. The club’s firm stance is likely to complicate any potential transfer. One of the main obstacles for Chelsea is their absence from the Champions League next season, a factor that is reportedly crucial for Kvaratskhelia and his camp.

This issue could push Chelsea to explore other options to strengthen their attacking midfield.

Romano highlighted that Chelsea needs a player with Kvaratskhelia’s spark, drawing comparisons to the impact Eden Hazard once had at Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, PSG is also keen to secure Kvaratskhelia to bolster their attack, especially following the departure of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid.

While Chelsea’s Champions League absence is a significant disadvantage, the club remains in the running, hoping to convince Kvaratskhelia of their long-term project and potential for success.

The coming weeks will be crucial as Napoli navigates their stance and interested clubs strategize their moves to secure the talented winger.
