Scottie Scheffler, the dominant golfer of 2024, is poised to add another $8 million to his already impressive earnings this weekend, despite not participating in the ongoing Wyndham Championship.

Scheffler’s incredible season, highlighted by five PGA Tour victories, a second Masters title, and an Olympic gold medal, has placed him at the top of nearly every leaderboard. His consistent performance has also made him the favorite to win the FedEx Cup.

This weekend, the final event of the regular PGA Tour season will conclude, solidifying Scheffler’s position at the top of the Comcast Business Tour Top-10 standings. His lead over the next closest competitor, Xander Schauffele, is insurmountable, guaranteeing him the $8 million bonus that accompanies first place in the standings.

This substantial payout will elevate Scheffler’s PGA Tour earnings for the year to over $36 million, with three more high-stakes tournaments still to come, including the $100 million FedEx Cup playoffs.

The Wyndham Championship will also determine which other players qualify for these prestigious events, while Scheffler continues to dominate the season financially.
