Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has officially confirmed that the construction of a museum dedicated to tennis icon Novak Djokovic will commence shortly.

Djokovic, widely regarded as the greatest men’s tennis player in the Open era, recently added an Olympic gold medal to his illustrious career by defeating Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in the Paris Olympics final. This victory, with a score of 7-6, 7-6, marked a significant milestone as it completed Djokovic’s trophy collection, evoking an emotional response from the 37-year-old champion.

President Vucic emphasized that Djokovic’s monumental achievements warrant a dedicated museum, similar to the one honoring Rafael Nadal in Mallorca, Spain. He noted that Djokovic’s contributions to Serbia and the sport are unparalleled, making him a figure of immense national pride.

The museum is expected to not only celebrate Djokovic’s tennis legacy but also boost tourism by attracting fans from around the globe. Vucic’s announcement comes at a time when Djokovic’s resilience and dedication have been on full display, especially after recovering from a serious knee injury sustained at the French Open earlier this year. Despite the setback, Djokovic returned to reach the Wimbledon final, though he was defeated by Alcaraz.

This museum will serve as a testament to Djokovic’s remarkable career and enduring legacy in tennis.
