According to talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara, Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson may not ascend to the ranks of world class players in the future. Despite being just 22 years old, Jackson is quietly making strides in his debut season in English football.

While facing criticism at times for missing significant goalscoring opportunities, the young striker displays promising attributes, showcasing a tidy all-around game.

With 12 goals in 31 Chelsea appearances across various competitions, Jackson’s performance is noteworthy. Should he surpass the 15-goal milestone in his inaugural year, it would be deemed a success.

O’Hara, although expressing admiration for Jackson, harbors doubts about his potential to become a global football sensation.

In an interview with talkSPORT, O’Hara emphasized his belief that Jackson, wearing Chelsea’s No. 15 jersey, lacks the trajectory to evolve into a world-class star.

O’Hara’s assessment reflects an acknowledgment of Jackson’s current abilities and potential growth, while tempering expectations regarding his future trajectory.

Despite recognizing Jackson’s talent and acknowledging his room for development, O’Hara maintains skepticism about his ability to transcend into the upper echelons of football stardom.

This nuanced perspective underscores the complexity of talent evaluation in the realm of professional sports, where promising players like Jackson must navigate the delicate balance between present performance and future aspirations.

O’Hara’s Statement on Jackson.

“Do I believe he’s ever going to be a star striker in the Premier League that Chelsea need if you want to compete at the top of the table? The best teams in the Premier League are the ones that have got the best strikers. Simple as that. Nicolas Jackson I don’t think is going to be that.”

However, contrary to O’Hara’s opinion, Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino believes in Nicolas Jackson’s potentials and think there’s room for the 22 year old to keep improving.

In an interview with Football.London this week, Mauricio Pochettino, the head coach of the Blues, emphasized that Jackson continues to improve this year. We’re eagerly anticipating his progress in the future!
