Team USA secured a decisive victory in the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup, held in Lahinch, Ireland.

Entering the final day tied at 18 with the International team, the Americans dominated the Sunday Singles, winning 14½-9½. This marks their second consecutive win and third in the last four years.

World No. 1 amateur Gordon Sargent’s 5-and-4 win against Bastien Amat sparked the American comeback after the Internationals took the first three matches. Key contributors included Melanie Green, the recent Women’s Amateur Championship winner, and Rachel Kuehn, a reliable team member.

Jackson Koivun, Preston Summerhays, Anna Morgan, and Latanna Stone also claimed victories. The United States now leads the Palmer Cup series 15-12-1. The competition, which mirrors the Ryder Cup format, features collegiate golfers from the U.S. against international players.

A highlight of the day was Auburn sophomore Anna Davis making an ace on the 16th hole, her first hole-in-one in ten years. Team USA’s performance on Sunday solidified their dominance, leaving no room for doubt as they brought home the cup once again.
