July proved to be a pivotal month for college football recruiting, with several top programs making significant strides in securing top talent for their future rosters.
Among these, Alabama showcased its recruiting prowess by landing several high-profile recruits, including four-star receiver Caleb Cunningham, who had been heavily courted by Mississippi State and Auburn. Similarly, four-star Ty Haywood and defensive end Justin Hill also chose the Crimson Tide, further solidifying Alabama’s recruiting dominance.
Auburn also had a remarkable month, securing seven pledges for its 2025 class. Notable among these were four-star defensive backs Blake Woodby and Anquon Fegans.
The Tigers also managed to flip four-star athlete Derick Smith and defensive lineman Antonio Coleman from Alabama, marking a significant win for head coach Hugh Freeze as he continues to rebuild the program.
Baylor and Georgia made headlines as well, with Baylor’s Dave Aranda publicly acknowledging the role of player compensation in their recruiting success.
The Bears added five in-state commitments, including four-star receivers Taz Williams and Jacorey Watson. Georgia continued its strong recruiting efforts, particularly in the defensive backfield, securing multiple four-star prospects.
Other programs like Kansas State, LSU, Miami, Oregon, SMU, and UCF also made significant gains, each landing key recruits that promise to bolster their future rosters.
Notably, Oregon secured five-star receiver Dakorien Moore, while Miami flipped high four-star safety Hylton Stubbs from USC, showcasing the competitive nature of this year’s recruiting battles.
