Tom Brady, newly minted as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, is already setting the stage for significant changes in the franchise.

Approved for a 5% stake and seeking to expand that share to 10%, Brady’s influence is poised to go far beyond typical minority ownership.

Reports indicate that he will play an essential role in shaping the team’s football operations, with Raiders owner Mark Davis expected to lean heavily on his expertise.

Speaking with Las Vegas Review-Journal, a league source noted Brady’s potential impact:

“I think Tom is going to have a much bigger role than people think in the direction of the franchise in all areas on the football side.”

The source hinted that Davis will entrust Brady with considerable decision-making authority, even suggesting that Brady is positioning himself for majority ownership in the future.

“It doesn’t matter what percentage he owns; it’s the trust the owner gives him to advise on football decisions,” the source added.

Brady’s first major ambition as a Raiders owner appears to be reuniting with his former New England Patriots coach, Bill Belichick. On the Kirk Minihane Show, the host reported that Brady’s initial plan is to explore whether Belichick would be interested in leading the Raiders.

“People have told me that [Tom] Brady’s first move is to ask Bill Belichick if he’s interested in being the coach of the Las Vegas Raiders,” Minihane stated.

This potential reunion, however, raises questions. Would Belichick, known for his autonomy, be willing to work under his former quarterback in a new environment? Brady would likely need to offer Belichick significant control, much like Patriots owner Robert Kraft did during their historic run in New England. Nevertheless, such a partnership would undoubtedly be exciting for fans, with many seeing it as a chance for the duo to recreate their magic in Las Vegas.

The prospect of Belichick joining the Raiders, combined with Brady’s deep knowledge of winning culture, could mark a new chapter for the struggling franchise.

While it remains uncertain whether Belichick will accept the offer, the possibility of their reunion has already sparked buzz among NFL fans, eager to see two of the sport’s greatest minds join forces once again.
