Former President Donald Trump has issued a public challenge to President Joe Biden, proposing a high-stakes golf match at Trump’s Doral golf course in South Florida.
During a rally, Trump suggested that if Biden accepts the challenge and wins, he will donate $1 million to a charity of Biden’s choice. Trump even offered to give Biden a 20-stroke advantage over the course of the match. Trump believes this event could be one of the most-watched in history, potentially surpassing the Ryder Cup or the Masters in viewership.
In response, Biden’s spokesperson, James Singer, dismissed the challenge as a mere distraction. Singer criticized Trump’s recent behavior and public statements, pointing out his extended absence from the public eye and questionable actions, such as inviting fictional serial killers to dinner and praising Tom Homan, an architect of Project 2025. Singer emphasized that Biden remains focused on his leadership duties, highlighting the contrast between Biden’s responsibilities and Trump’s antics.

The golf handicap debate between the two leaders began during a recent debate when Trump claimed to have won two club championships and questioned Biden’s golfing abilities.
Biden initially claimed to have a six handicap but later corrected it to eight, a claim Trump found unbelievable. US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau has offered to host the match on his YouTube channel, hoping to settle the debate once and for all.
While the challenge has garnered significant media attention, it remains to be seen if Biden will accept. Singer made it clear that Biden’s priorities lie in leading the nation and addressing global challenges, not engaging in Trump’s proposed golf match.
