Barcelona has confirmed that Gavi will return to the squad for the crucial Champions League quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain in Paris on Wednesday to offer support to his team.

The young midfielder, sidelined since November due to an ACL injury, will make his comeback.

His presence is expected to lift team morale amid this challenging phase of his career. Despite not being fully fit, Gavi’s inclusion highlights Barcelona’s faith in his talent and potential contribution.

Joining him on the trip are Frenkie de Jong and Pedri, still recovering from injuries.

The trio’s return could strengthen Barcelona’s midfield and provide depth as they aim to progress in the Champions League.

Their inclusion underscores Barcelona’s determination to have all options available for the PSG encounter.

According to Barcelona official statement:

“Frenkie de Jong and Pedri make the trip also but are yet to be declared fit for Wednesday’s game against the side coached by former blaugrana player and boss Luis Enrique. Midfielder Gavi, who continues his recovery from a serious knee injury, will also accompany his team mates to Paris.”

Since his absence due to injury, Gavi has been seen enthusiastically supporting his team from the stands.

Although his presence on the field has been sorely missed, he now has an opportunity to play a role, albeit from the sidelines, in what promises to be the team’s most crucial match of the season thus far. Despite being unable to directly contribute on the pitch, his support and involvement off it could prove invaluable in boosting team morale and spirit.

This match represents a significant moment for Gavi to remain engaged and connected with his teammates during his recovery period.
