Bayer Leverkusen continued their unbeaten run today by thrashing league rivals Bayern Munich by three goals to nill 3 – 0 to tighten their grip on first place position in the German Bundesliga.
The Visitor’s hopes of making a title statement against their biggest rival this season was dampened 18′ minutes after kickoff with a goal from J. Stanisic which gave the home team a lead before halftime.
Thomas Tuchel side came back after the halftime break with new tactical instructions and hopes of equalizing. However, they conceded their second goal just 5 minutes after the break and the third, just before stoppage time earning the home team 3 points which extended their lead in the German Bundesliga to 5 points from second place holders Bayern Munich.
