AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana, 25, has agreed on terms with Italian giants AC Milan, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.

Monaco’s CEO, Thiago Scuro, confirmed that the club is willing to let Fofana depart this summer as his current contract has only one year left. Despite this, Monaco will not accept just any offer for the talented midfielder.

Fofana played a crucial role in Monaco’s successful season, helping them secure a spot in the upcoming UEFA Champions League. While his participation with the French national team at Euro 2024 was limited, he has proven himself reliable when called upon by coach Didier Deschamps.

With France’s exit from Euro 2024, the focus has shifted to Fofana’s next career move.

Romano reports that a €30 million bid from Nottingham Forest was turned down by Monaco, who are currently in negotiations with AC Milan regarding a transfer. Fofana has already accepted Milan’s proposal and is eager to join the Serie A team.

This development marks a significant moment in Fofana’s career, as he prepares to leave Monaco for a new challenge in Italy. The move is expected to be finalized soon, provided the clubs can agree on a transfer fee.
